Bio

Vishal has always been fascinated by the human body and what allows us to move, function, and feel our best. After an active upbringing involving a wide range of sports at both competitive and recreational levels, he initially pursued a career in physiotherapy. A series of car accidents changed that path, leaving him with significant musculoskeletal pain and a firsthand understanding of how pain and injury can affect not only the body, but also day-to-day life and mental wellbeing.

His own experience with rehabilitation ultimately deepened his interest in helping others. By applying his knowledge of movement and the human body to his own recovery, Vishal was able to return to an active lifestyle with less pain. This experience continues to inform his work and has given him a deeper appreciation for the challenges that can accompany pain, injury, and recovery.

With over eight years of experience as a strength and rehabilitation coach and more than six years as a Registered Massage Therapist, Vishal brings a broad background in movement, rehabilitation, and hands-on care to his practice. He works with a wide range of clients, including those recovering from injuries or surgery, managing persistent pain, preparing for physical activity, or seeking relief from everyday aches and tension. He has a particular interest in treating people with hypermobility and/or connective tissue disorders.

Vishal is keen to support people through the physical changes that can accompany pregnancy and the postpartum period. He understands that these stages can place new demands on the body and enjoys helping clients address the aches, tension, and physical challenges that may arise along the way. His practice remains open to clients at all stages of life, whether they are navigating pregnancy, adjusting to life postpartum, recovering from an injury, managing ongoing pain, or simply looking for some time to care for their body.

Outside of work, Vishal can usually be found enjoying the outdoors, spending time with his family, or playing with his cats. He is fluent in both Punjabi and English.

Vishal’s approach to care

Vishal believes that effective massage therapy starts with listening. He takes a collaborative approach to treatment, working with each client to understand their goals, preferences, comfort level, and what their body needs on that particular day.

He is committed to creating an inclusive, accessible, and body-positive treatment environment where people of all body types, abilities, identities, and backgrounds feel respected and welcome. He recognizes that our relationships with our bodies can be complicated, particularly during periods of significant physical change such as pregnancy and postpartum. His goal is to provide care without judgment or assumptions about what a body should look like, how it should function, or what a client’s goals should be.

Vishal also recognizes that treatment needs can change from one appointment to the next. He welcomes feedback throughout a session and adapts his approach based on what feels appropriate and comfortable for each client. Ultimately, he sees massage therapy as a collaborative process: his role is to provide his knowledge and skills while working with clients to determine what care best supports them.
